Bangle sizes
Asian bangle sizes describe the inside width of the bangle in inches — so 2.6 means 2 and 6/16 of an inch.
The easiest way: measure a bangle you already own
- Take a bangle that fits you comfortably.
- Measure straight across the inside, from edge to edge, in millimetres.
- Find the closest size in the table below.
Or measure your hand
- Bring your thumb and little finger together, as if putting a bangle on.
- Wrap a tape measure (or a strip of paper) around the widest part of your hand, over the knuckles.
- Divide that number by 3.14 to get the width in millimetres, then use the table.
| Size | Inside width | Usually fits |
|---|---|---|
| 2.2 | 54.0 mm (2⅛") | Small hands, teens |
| 2.4 | 57.2 mm (2¼") | Most common for women |
| 2.6 | 60.3 mm (2⅜") | Most common for women |
| 2.8 | 63.5 mm (2½") | Larger hands |
| 2.10 | 66.7 mm (2⅝") | Larger hands |
In between sizes? Choose the larger size — bangles need to slide over your knuckles.
Ring sizes (UK)
Wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it meets, and measure the length in millimetres. That’s your inside circumference.
